Planning and Zoning

The Planning and Zoning Division of the Building and Zoning Department reviews all land development applications for consistency with the Land Development Regulations and the Comprehensive Plan. These applications include variances, vacating alleys, overlay districts, mixed-use districts, conditional use permits, and more. These applications can be found at the link to the right under "Building Forms, Permits, Applications." 


Zoning and development applications must be submitted to the Building and Zoning Department by 4:00 p.m. on the third Monday of the month to make the agenda deadline of the Planning and Zoning Board's regular monthly meeting scheduled the following month.  The Board meets the third Tuesday of every month at 6:00 p.m. at City Hall.   There will be no exceptions to the third Monday of the month cut-off deadline.  Applications submitted after 4:00 p.m. on the third Monday of the month will be put in the queue for the next available Planning and Zoning Board agenda.
